So a couple days ago I recieved my photography camera in the mail!
I was sooo excited and couldn't wait until I got film so I can actually take pictures.
I was ridin' my bike this morning and went to this ditch near our house, and the sun was barely peeping through the trees that were hanging over the water.
There's this cute little board that crosses the ditch so you can get across and I thought it would be a beautiful picture. There's so much beauty in this world, apart from the evil.
As I look around my yard and neighborhood, I never really took a GOOD enough look at God's creations. I am so intrigued with it all. I love nature photography and I'm so blessed to be able to learn all about it to capture the uniqueness of it.
It's a good feeling when we do things we never really thought possoble isn't it?
Sometimes I think I can't do anything more or higher than what I'm already doing, but deep down, I have to know that's its NOT true.
Joyce Meyer is one of my favorite motivational and encouraging speakers. I love and am currently reading her book, "Never give up." I realize it might be for the more experienced people (like moms!) but as I read it, it applies to me very well. I definitely recommend this book.
You can get it a Wal Mart.
Anyway, a part from her book says...
"Being a person who never gives up does not mean barely surviving or simply making it through life with no strength or joy at the end of each day. No, there is a quality of strength, a certain kind of victory, a sense of triumph and a unique passion that accompanies a person who will not quit. Such a determined, persistent, overcoming individual has not only the ability to survive but has the power to THRIVE.
Think about an eagle. A person who thrives doesn't scratch around the chicken yard with roosters and hens, nor do they behave fearfully, as chickens do. Instead, he or she has the spirit of a conqueror and the strength to rise and soar like a majestic eagle."
WOW.
This really spoke to me.
there's something out there for all of us to accomplish.
Something better than what we are even doing now.
"Remember, God has thoughts and plans for your good, to give you hope and a future (see Jeremiah 29:11) If you will hold on to your hope and fight for it when the enemy tries to take it away, you will see AMAZING things take place in your life. Being hopeful helps you to press on instead of giving up." Joyce Meyer
What are we waiting for?
What am I waiting for? I don't know but I want to stop acting like a chicken and start soaring like an eagle.
I want to press on in my trials and the stress , and let me tell you, its WAY easier said than done. Whenever I hear or read the most encouraging things of being yourself ,etc. I say to myself "Oh yeah, that sounds easy. I can do that. It doesn't bother me what people think of me."
But then I find when I'm actually being tested for this and when I actually have the opportunities to be myself, its hard because I really do deep down care what people think. Lately I know God has been working with me on this.
When I'm myself and being a God-pleaser and NOT a People-pleaser, It does feel great. Regardless of what people think of me.
I DON'T WANT TO HOLD BACK.
I DON'T want to miss the good things God has in store for me all because I care about the opinions of others. No matter what, I want to change in this area.
I'm now listening to a christian radio station and literally like 5 seconds ago I heard the words..... "Be changed by a perfect God."
How true those words are. We can only be changed by a perfect God.
We all make mistakes, and I'm way far from perfect, but in this life, there's no room for fear. No room for holding back. No room for eagles to be in the chicken yards.
"You will be surprised at the progress you make if you'll simply be willing to start doing whatever God is leading you to do." Joyce Meyer.
So Do you feel God calling you to be something more? Or do you think that He has somethin' better?
I know I feel that way.
Do you feel like a baby eagle, wanting to leave your comfort zone? You are just too scared or just don't know how?
Do you feel God saying to you, "Come on, it's time to fly." ?
When I read those words in her book, I literally burst into tears.
Its amazing what God is tugging on my heart.
And I know he's tugging on your hearts too.
Let's be eagles guys.
Not Chickens.
Get Ready To SOAR.
