We just got home from church.
It's a new church we attended and it was a great service.
But before the service, during the praise and worship, PHIL WICKHAM played! I recognized the name and I was so happy to of seen him singing and playing guitar just praising God.
If you're not familiar with him, go check him out on youtube or something!
The message in church was about miracles, knowledge, and Faith.
God does miracles because He loves us and they are miraculous evidence of who He is.
The Pastor also said that if we want to follow God, we need to die to ourselves.
That pinched and tugged at my heart, I almost didn't want to hear it. It's so convicting right?
But what does it mean to 'die to ourselves'? To give up everything that's hindering our walk with God? Get rid of all evil we put before our eyes, and ears, and get rid of evil that is upon our tongues? To put away the selfish desires for good and think of others? Yes. Yes. Yes.
Knowledge.
Wouldn't it be amazing if we knew everything?!!
Since God knows everything, He knows the worst of us and the best. Most importantly, He knows what He's going to make out of us. What's so amazing is that He takes us bruised, and broken and scared. He'll take us when we have a million flaws to work out. He'll take us freely, and that's what he pointed out today in Church.
And again, because God knows everything, and everything about us, He knows deep inside of us: He knows real and authentic faith from false faith. He can see through our motivations. Be real with God. I guess there's no use in being fake with Almighty God who sees and knows EVERYTHING!

That sermon is along the same lines of the sermon at our church this morning! It was about giving up everything that is hindering our walk with God.
I'm glad the poem blessed you--I know, it totally blows my mind she was only 13! God used her in a mighty way.
I really enjoy reading your blog...very encouraging.
Hi to you too! ( =
That is so cool! My sister saw Phil in concert
Amber, hello!
Well, you've been tagged! Check out my blog for more details!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog♥ It honestly made my day. I love your blog. I love your modesty and the fact that you combine spiritual truth stories (like the one where you wrote about being who you are) and what's going on in your life (like your recent snowboarding trip) lol.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words about my blog, however the glory goes to God not me lol. I enjoy reading your blog and will hopefully keep in touch with you.
Staying together in Christ,
Julia
