Ya know, ever since I can remember I've dreamt about "love". I have always had a 'vision' or a 'dream' of what it would be like to fall in love. But now, I realized every thought I had on the subject was wrong. It was selfish. It was worldly.
I am falling in love! Everyday! With my sweet Jesus!
I want to surrender my desire for love and for marriage to Him. Because He has decided not to give it to me yet. I find myself crying on occasion because I desire it so deeply. And He has put that desire there. But not for me to dwell on day and night. He wants me to make Him my first love. And I'm learning about what that means.
Katy wrote these beautiful words, and they touched my heart:
"My deepest desire is to live and breathe my precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...to live 110% for Him...to be a living sacrifice for Him...to honor and glorify HIM every single second of the day whether I am in a crowd of 100 people or whether I am alone in my room...He is so precious to me-it is time I start living like He is."
Singleness is such a gift!
"But with every pang of loneliness and every wistful longing for marriage, they lean all the more upon Jesus Christ and find that He is ready and willing to satisfy the cry of their heart--day or night" ~Sacred SinglenessI'm learning, experiencing, and realizing that Jesus has the only kind of love that will ever satisfy my longings.
"Even a beautiful God-scripted love story can never satisfy the way Jesus does. Even the most heroic and Christlike man on earth can never fulfill the longings of our heart like the true Prince and lover of our soul (Jesus Christ). And until we are able to truly make Him our first love, until we are willing to give up our dream of an earthly love story for His sake, we will never know the fullness of Him who fills us all in all. We will always be looking to a mere man to meet the desires of our heart, rather than to the One who created us, who knows us better than we know ourselves, and who gave His very life's blood to rescue us."

Your heart is defently in the right place! It's amazing what God can do with a heart so open to Him. It took me a long time to get to the point where you are and when I did, God did amazing things! Keep striving and searching!

Hello Amber! I tagged you on my blog! =D
Have a lovely day!
Love in Christ,
Cassie
Thank-you for this post, Amber. Those quotes are excellent, and really make me think. I'm pretty sure that most of us struggle with this in varying degrees. Keep praying that God will help you to surrender more of yourself to Him each day. I know I should do that as well. :)
Blessings,
~Melody
