Like the Sun in the Sky

Father. Son. Holy Spirit. One. huh?
I'm sure one of the many questions a Christian has is, "How can God be one and three at the same time?"
It's a little confusing, the Trinity. Let me put it in a way, well actually, let me quote it from a book, with a little easier meaning.

"God is like the sun in the sky. If you look at its brightness, you see one sun. In reality, however, it is
triune sun that keeps our planet alive. There are three distinct elements: the sun, light, and heat.
And so it is with the Trinity. The Father is like the whole sun, Jesus is the light, and the Holy Ghost is the heat you feel." (Good Morning, Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn, pg. 71) (emphasis mine)

Earlier in the book, Benny says:
"From what you have already learned, you can imagine what would happen if God the Father ever spoke to you audibly. You could not bear it. I doubt that you are even prepared to hear the voice of Jesus, described as "the sound of many waters" (Rev. 1:15). When John heard it, he fell at His feet, "as dead" (v.17).
The Holy Spirit, however, takes the voice if the Father and the Son and makes it quiet, lovely, and perfectly clear." (emphasis mine)

Something he said was that the Holy Spirit is not less than God--that they are equal in righteousness. I used to think, "Who do I pray to? God or the Holy Spirit?" But I'm learning that they are the same. The Holy Spirit is just the voice.

I very much recommend this book. Its amazing, the stories & analogies given by Benny Hinn.
