I know you see this a lot, but I really think God is telling a lot of bloggers to take a break from this addicting "hobby". If I examine how many hours a day I get on here, it would probably outnumber the time I spend with God. And to be honest, blogging is just not satisfying.
Crafting's not satisfying.
Reading's not satisfying.
Cleaning. Writing. Shopping is not satisfying.
I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I feel weird, like I want to spend more time w/ Him, but I feel lazy to just read the Bible all day. Anyway, I'm going to get off now, and stop blogging for as long as it takes to be satisfied with where God wants me & the relationship He wants with me.
Please consider looking at the time you spend blogging - I know how addicting this can be! (Especially if your homeschooled). I'll be praying for you all, my friends!
Peace & love,
Amber

Excellent, excellent, excellent post.
Full of truth.
May God bless you as you walk this journey.
Thanks for posting this Amber. I think blogging is a great way to express your thoughts toward God, but I also know how unsatisfying it can be. I don't know if you've heard the song or not, but check out "Satisfy" by Tenth Avenue North. Awesome call to seek God first.

Psalm 59:16
But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
and a refuge in the day of my distress.
I wholeheartedly agree: blogging should never take precedence over the time we spend with our Lord. I too have felt led to take a few blogging breaks in the past. I think it's a good way of showing God what's really most important to us!
I hope you enjoy the break and that it turns out to be a blessing for you. :) ... I will miss you while you're gone though!
Much love,

Oh yeah, it's definitely addicting! I've been pondering the same thing. I think I need some moderation... I hope and pray all goes well with you.
