Sweet day :)

Making me smile!

I realize I often think of my future husband.

Sometimes I get all dreamy picturing a handful of fresh wild flowers in his hand, waiting for my eyes to behold them.

Or leaving each other little love notes.

Then a sweet picture comes to mind & I smile.

That's exactly what God has been doing for me! Sometimes at a random moment I'll get the feeling He just slipped an, "I love you!" to me.

Or I'll notice that He "gave" me a sunny day. (He knows what I like!)

And then earlier, He positioned the moon just right for my viewing. I love when He does little things like that! And I don't even deserve it.

But He loves us so much that He'll subtly & (sometimes sneakily!) sneak in a fresh flower or a butterfly just to make us smile. I imagine He loves watching us smile! I can't wait to see His!

But our heavenly Father is so...so wonderful.

And I am praying that my future husband will be just like Him!

The color of your life.

Color's great isn't it? I've been pondering a thought for a while: what if we lived in a black & white world? What a sad life it would be. There'd be no colorful sunrise to wake up to. No fresh red rose to gaze upon.

I think I take color for granted because I don't truly appreciate the beauty it holds; the life, for lack of a better word, it brings.
You know, gazing into silver-blue eyes,

Walking through a field of wild flowers,

 The different "paints" our creative Creator uses to pain the sky.

It's like He especially orchestrates the perfect happenings everyday just for us (sunsets & sunrises, shooting stars, etc.).
You know what it reminded me of? In a way, the world is sort of black and white. But the people are few where Color is their life.

Hello all!

A while ago, my photography teach had an assignment to shoot pictures of the 7 deadly sins. {It's 7 right?}
But that wasn't something I was interested in. At all. So after some thought, I decided, hey, instead of the 7 deadly sins, why not do the Fruits of the Spirit.

You can have a picture of  people laughing together to represent joy; giving someone a hand to represent kindness; etc, etc.

This has been on my mind a while. I think that will be my project for the next month of April {because I need film for my camera, and I also need to find a public darkroom}

So feel free to try this, and maybe post about it. Well, I'm off to head to church with the {half} fam.

P.S. This is post # 90 {!!}. Just 10 more until I reach 100! I don't know,  I might do something fun on that day. We'll see.  Until then, my dear blog readers, {well actually, until the next time I post, which will probably be tomorrow morning} I bid you ado.

The Master Artist

"Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good."

"Set your gaze toward heaven. Your eyes will behold My glory. I have brought you through the testing time, and My heart rejoices over you. You see but a part of the picture, but I see the design in its complection. You cannot know what is in my mind and what I am creating with the materials of your life.

Only yield yourself into My hands. You need not make your own plans, for I am in control, and you would bring disaster by interference, just as the untrained use of the brush by a helpful child would ruin the canvas of the master artist.

So rest your soul, knowing that I have been at work in ways you have least suspected; for the picture in your thinking and the work I was engaged in were entirely different.

I make no idle strokes. What I do is never haphazard. I am never merely mixing colors out of casual curiosity. My every move is one of vital creativity, and every stroke is part of the whole.

Never be dismayed by apparent incongruity. Never be alarmed by a sudden dash of color seemingly out of context. Say only to your questioning heart, "It is the Infinite wielding His brush; I know He does all things well."

And in all that I do with a free hand, without interference, I can stand back and view the work and say, "It is good.""

Random Acts Of Kindness...........

Sometimes I feel like I need to be doing more acts of kindness.
Almost like I need to be displaying what I believe. It's funny,,, some people try to show they are a good person and that they are Christians, when really, they might be hiding behind masks. I have been guilty of this also. Eventually, that mask will have to be removed. It's important to just be real from the beginning, even when displaying our love for Jesus.
Ever feel like you're slacking off and need to do something "good"? Almost like you don't feel worthy of anything and you just want to do something good even if you don't mean it just to make yourself feel better? My sister texted this to me a while back: "Come to Him now, don't wait until you feel worthy, because we were never worthy in the 1st place." I find this true.

Maybe we might mess up and don't feel worthy enough to be happy or worthy enough to pray. that's when we should pray all the more. Anyway, back to the random acts of kindness thing!
I think we all should be doing these things. It helps us grow and we definitely feel good after doing them. It also makes the other person feel good.
I like to subscribe for magazines, One of them is Brio, but unfortunately, they were discontinued..
Her are some Random Acts Of Kindness I got from one of the mags....

1. Give a box of doggie treats to your neighbors pooch.

2. Let someone else be 1st in line

3. Say hi to someone you don't know at school or work or wherever

4. If you're home schooled, thank your parents for investing the time and energy to do this.
5. Surprise your mom by dusting and vacuuming the house.

6. Write an appreciation note to your pastor, youth leader or teacher.

7. Stick an "I Love You" note in your dad's coat pocket, briefcase or lunch bag.

8. Empty all the trash cans in the house

9. Search through your closet & search for small or unwanted clothes and donate them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.

10. Get up early and clean a few windows for friends or family members.

11. Take your little brother or sister to a special outing to the park, zoo, mall, etc.

12. Make dinner for your entire family. Even if it's hot dogs! (YUM!!)

13.Volunteer to work at your church's nursery.

14. wash and wax your dads car.

15. Open the door for someone.

16. Give your mom and/or dad a BIG hug & KISS!!!!!!!

That's just to name a few. But be CREATIVE! Come up with your own Random Acts Of kindness!!!! Have fun with it, but do them with the right motives and with a happy and cheerful HEART! Good luck, well, God Bless!
