I was "directed" to a site that allowed me to write a poem only using the words given.
(Oh and Bess, if you're reading this..it was that site on your blog you said "click on the picture to play some fun games"..hehe)
The result? A very weird, yet creative poem.
I sit here catching wind.
Playing with daffodils and catching wind.
If I laugh here,
The blue birds laugh.
And we go on laughing and catching wind.
I sit here throwing sunshine.
Chasing rain and throwing sunshine.
If I sing here,
The blue birds sing.
And we go on singing and throwing sunshine.
I admit no sense is made in this poem. But the way I see it, is that the people who do read it, make it sense of their own. They can either relate to it, or make their own understanding. To me that's what poetry is all about. Not necessarily that poet making any sense whatsoever or understanding what they wrote. Or even writing what they know. They sort of put the words together to form this "image" for others to look at and gaze upon.

That is SO cool, Amber. Oh my word. SOOO cool. It's so...at first, it made me laugh. Then I read it again, and it made me want to cry! Uh oh. Here comes the tears.
AH! I keep reading it and reading it. You ROCK.
Wow, I love it! Very nice for having a limited number of words.

I agree, what I interpret in a poem,(or a piece of art, or a song, or a photograph) may be very different from what another may feel when they see that particular piece. And yet, we are still touched, in our own way. I love this poem you wrote. I want to throw sunshine now. ( =
Love you.
