Oh, man, the kitchen is just way too hot.

Not really ;) Tonight, mama let me make dinner. And I must say, I liked it! It felt so good trying to accomplish such a hard task for me. I have to admit that cooking doesn't seem to come as naturally as some. But I guess it's all in practice & desire. (Oh, & love =) I felt like I was totally preparing myself for the future fam, & I am SO excited to learn. I think I want to take a cooking class soon.

I really miss my Grama's homemade tortillas. Mexican food NEEDS homemade tortillas, like, bad.

So, I basically ate alone tonight while mama watched a bit o' T.V. & snacked on her nightly chocolate animal crackers (hehe). I'm thinking I could get used to this.

My sister has a violin (which I think is hilarious considering she bought it last year & still hasn't touched it. Literally) & I asked her if I can borrow it! Well, 2 strings are missing, & we don't have one of those things to make the horse hair bow thing to be soft. (Can you tell I have no idea what I'm talking about?) Soooo, I just played it like it was, & apparently sounded cool (according to a 2 year old, that is). If you've heard the Annie Moses Band, then you realize why I'm inspired to play the violin. (If you haven't heard or seen them, go to Youtube & look up Annie Moses Band- Trailmix)

So that's a bit of my day. I'm off to, well, I actually don't know. I guess fill my empty glass with tea =)

I never used to like cooking either... then I tried it! ;) Now, I'm sad when I don't get to cook (when I have too much school work or something), but I think mom is even sadder. She does not enjoy cooking at all.
Maybe you could post some of your favorite recipes that you try or something!

I'm with you on the cooking thing. It doesn't really come naturally to me. Maybe because I don't like it much... :P
By the way, I play violin (or fiddle...I like to call it fiddle, hehe). :)

I like to cook tea sometimes...my mum has this rule -- you cook, you clean. Ugh, cleaning!:P

I love reading about your day! Cooking is great fun, but I am (almost) hopelessly prone to making accidents! Hopefully I'll learn some day :) Oh wow! That's so exciting you're learning the violin! I'm a violinist and I absolutely love it :D Do you mean the rosin? (Just a tip, generally the softer it is, the better quality ;) I actually picked up an Annie Moses Band Christmas CD at a Salvation Army store last year :) They are amazing! I haven't heard Trailmix though. I'll look it up now :)

With love,
Annie

I LOVE cooking! My favorite hobby! Today I made this amazing cranberry cake, and it was super easy! Have you tried any recipes by Ree Drummand? If you haven't her stuff will make you want to melt and die. :D
