Hi beautiful friends!
My heart has been delighted & full of joy & peace...with a little bit of fear & struggle thrown in.
Oh, life is a mix of emotions!
I have a few thoughts to share--thoughts to encourage you today.
When I woke up this morning, these thoughts were going through my mind as I was still trying to wake up:
God loves who I am no matter how I am
That's a mighty relief! So often I get SO discouraged by the way I am: I'm not godly enough; I don't pray enough; I don't witness enough, etc. But something the Lord is showing me is that His love is still as strong as ever! No matter our shortcomings & weaknesses.
I was reading over my old journal from 2009 & these were my thoughts:
"He knows my every fear, worry & dread.
He knows I'm afraid to get my first job.
He knows I'm afraid to open up.
He knows I'm afraid to lift my hands & worship during church.
HE KNOWS.
And He STILL loves me.
He STILL accepts me.
He STILL takes care of me.
He still brightens my day with nature.
He STILL guides me.
He STILL has a plan for me & He STILL forgives me, no matter the hurt I might cause Him, He still cares. For so long I've been struggling with fear. And it's just way down inside me. That stupid devil won't leave me alone. But God is BIGGER than him."

2 years have passed & yes I still struggle but boy do I see a difference! God is faithful & He wants you to rely on Him.
I'm talkin' from experience, folks!
Some verses to encourage you on your journey:
"I have loved you with an everlasting love." Jeremiah 31:3
"They will be radiant with joy because of the LORD'S goodness[!]" Jeremiah 31:12
"You are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been resurrected! He is not here! See the place where they put Him, But go, tell His disciples and Peter..." Matthew 16:6-7
"His love is eternal." Psalm 136:26
"LORD, if you considered sins, LORD, who could stand? But with You, there is forgiveness." Psalm 130:3
"Your faithfulness is for all generations." Psalm 119:90
"The LORD is for me[!]" Psalm 118:6
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12
So, be encouraged! Jesus is right there wherever you are & He's for us, watching us with adoration as we sleep; smiling at us when we're being silly; guiding us when we're going of the road; & loving us...despite us.
"Give thanks to the God of gods!" Psalm 136:3

This post was very encouraging, Noella! Sometimes as finite human beings, it's hard for us to understand that God love for us is so strong and so deep, despite our imperfections. It's a concept that I sometimes find hard to grasp with my little finite mind.

I can't believe I haven't even talked to you since before you went to Israel! I feel so awful about not writing you! Just know,you're in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
