Oh, so many thoughts! This may just be a jumbled post of jumbled thinking… ;)
I’m starting to picture my life in so many different ways: a marathon in which I am running, a tree in which I am growing, a song in which I am singing. God has completely shown me things about Him & about myself I had never known before, & He used the Honor Academy to do it.
Like the way the sun is the center & everything else revolves around it. If we were any closer, we'd be dead, if we'd be any further we'd be dead. The sun gives life & light. But the moon--the moon has no light on its own. Its light comes from the sun. And in the same way, we can compare that to the Son & how we are like the moon. (An analogy I heard today!)
What I am doing, is I am calling youth pastors to come to an event called Acquire The Fire (Heard of it before?) which was started back in the 90s, to go to the one in New Orleans. Sometimes I get all caught up in going through the motions & I forget that what I'm doing, in Jesus' name, will be fruitful eventually! Like, even though I can’t see it yet, the fruit will come!
"I am a fruitful vine in my Father's vinyard" one guy put it today. That makes my heart happy!
I am learning to rely on God for EVERYTHING. For attention, for strength to run 2 miles, for help when I really don't want to make 100 phone calls. Life has gotten busier. I am so excited to say that I am in the School of Worship! What that is, is musicians coming together to be worship leaders. I got put into my very own band! Ah! Today we had a class & they taught us something so amazingly amazing:
Singing & dancing does not create a worship experience. Experience[ing God] creates the song & dance. Chew on that for a moment! Isn’t that so true?! I shouldn’t be stirred by the melody of the music, but by God Himself. Good stuff, I’m tellin’ ya! I love being here. It’s challenging but, it’s great!
I hope you all are doing well. Miss you!
